The hotel occupies a 16th century fortress, which was built overlooking Horta Bay and was declared a national monument in 1947. From the hotel guests are able to enjoy breathtaking views of Pico Island as well as the famous harbour. Vulcao dos Capelinhos, Varadouro, Morro de Castelo Branco and Caldera are all just a hour drive from the hotel. Built in 1972 and renovated in 2004, this hotel comprises a total of 28 rooms spread over 3 floors. A garden and terrace additionally feature. Facilities on offer include a foyer with 24-hour reception desk, a hotel safe and lifts. The air-conditioned hotel also comprises a bar, a café, a TV room, a restaurant with a smoking area, a breakfast and dining room as well as a conference room and a public Internet terminal with WLAN (for an additional fee). Cancellation Conditions
As a general rule, you may cancel your reservation without charge until a day before the date of entry into the hotel. There are dates on which, due to high occupancy, the cancellation policy is more restrictive. In any case, the conditions are stated during the booking process and prior to confirmation. If you cancel after the deadline, usually you will be charged the first night unless otherwise specified. Again, if this is the case it will be stated during the reservation process and before the confirmation.
No shows: If the client does not present him or herself at the hotel on the first night, the hotel will charge the amount specified in the cancellation policy.
Pay
Payment for the reservation is made directly at the hotel. Your credit card is required only as guarantee for reservation confirmation.
